US Crypto Adoption Rates Rebound as Americans Show Increased Appetite for Digital Assets
Americans are slowly getting back into cryptocurrencies after a decline in adoption rates following the peak of Bitcoin's price in October 2025. According to a Deutsche Bank survey, US crypto adoption rates recovered in March this year to 12%. The survey analyzed data from 3,400 retail consumers across the US, UK, and EU.
The study found that men and higher-income households are leading crypto adoption, but there are also gradual gains among women and lower-income investors. Bitcoin remains the favorite asset, with approximately 70% of crypto investors holding it, followed by stablecoins such as USDT and USDC.
Despite its volatility, Americans are still investing in cryptocurrencies. A new academic study on US households found that a mix of factors drives this adoption, including financial sophistication, appetite for risk, distrust of banks, and comfort with digital platforms.
