US Crypto Agenda Gains Momentum Despite Regulatory Uncertainty
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse remains optimistic about the United States becoming the global center of the crypto industry, despite ongoing regulatory uncertainty. In an Aug. 19 White House meeting with major crypto and financial leaders, Garlinghouse expressed his support for making America the 'crypto capital of the world.'
The gathering brought together executives from top companies like Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, Nasdaq, ICE, Gemini, and Chainlink, along with SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Michael Selig. President Donald Trump reaffirmed the administration's commitment to keeping crypto and financial innovation in the U.S.
CFTC Chairman Selig emphasized that the administration wants to build financial innovation within the country, supporting the White House goal of expanding domestic crypto activity. Garlinghouse praised the meeting, saying he was proud to attend and highlighting the need for clearer U.S. crypto rules to facilitate companies' growth.
