US Crypto Holders Map Reveals California Leads with Nearly 10 Million Owners
The National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) has created an interactive map to visualize the estimated distribution of crypto holders across the US. According to the map, California leads with approximately 9.5 million crypto holders, followed by Texas with 5.94 million and Florida with 4.71 million.
The NCA's estimate is based on a national demographic model that combines data from a sample of 10,000 US crypto holders with district-level signals to produce a posterior mean and 95% credible interval for every covered geographic area.
Separate research has estimated that 49.6 million Americans hold Bitcoin, representing 18.6% of the adult population.
The NCA also provides data on the economic footprint of the crypto industry across individual states, including 231,845 crypto-supported jobs and $55.4 billion in economic activity nationwide.
