US Cryptocurrency Adoption Reaches New Heights
New research from the National Cryptocurrency Association reveals that over 67 million Americans now own cryptocurrency, which is up from one in five just a year ago. This shift has led to widespread adoption across the country, with no single geographic hot spot dominating the market.
The data shows that California leads the way with an estimated 9.5 million crypto holders, followed closely by Texas with 5.94 million and Florida with 4.71 million. However, it's worth noting that these numbers are not surprising given the population size of each state.
Looking beyond the top states, a nationwide comparison shows that crypto ownership is spread evenly across the country, with some smaller states like Alaska boasting an impressive one-quarter of their population owning cryptocurrency. This data suggests that crypto adoption is no longer limited to coastal regions and tech hubs.
