US Farmers Tap Blockchain for $20,000 in Emergency Funding Through Livestock Tokenization
Struggling farmers in the United States have found an innovative way to unlock $20,000 in credit for their businesses by putting their cows on the blockchain.
The program, which was launched by a company called Bullish (NYSE:BLSH), allows farmers to tokenize and sell ownership of their livestock as digital assets. This has enabled them to access new sources of funding and financial support.
'We're excited to see how our technology can make a tangible difference in the lives of these farmers,' said an anonymous spokesperson for Bullish, according to CoinDesk. 'Our goal is to provide a platform that empowers people to take control of their finances.'
