The United States government has seized 127,271 BTC from LuBian, a Chinese Bitcoin mining pool linked to Prince Group Chairman Chen Zhi. The US claims that these coins were used to launder funds from forced-labor scam compounds in Cambodia.

The 9/11 families, who have been awarded over $90 billion in damages, are now claiming that these coins should be given to them instead. According to their filing, LuBian was a joint venture between China and Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), set up to help Iran evade sanctions.

The 9/11 families argue that the US government deliberately concealed this information, citing the 'clean hands' doctrine, which penalizes governments for engaging in bad faith or misconduct. They claim that at least $11,166.51 of the seized BTC is directly traceable to Bitcoin mined by the Iran-China Group.
