US Government Moves More Bitcoin From Alameda Accounts
The US government has moved another small amount of Bitcoin from Alameda Research accounts on Binance.US, marking the latest in a series of transactions tied to the FTX collapse. According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham, the transfer occurred on August 26 and came from funds seized by the government roughly three years ago.
The transaction is notable as it represents one of several recent movements of assets connected to Alameda seizures. In May, the government moved $1.9 million in seized altcoins to Coinbase Prime, while earlier this month, government-linked wallets transferred over $288 million in Bitcoin and Ether to the same platform.
These actions are part of a broader forfeiture effort stemming from the collapse of FTX, with the US government seeking to recover over $700 million in assets tied to Alameda Research. The seized holdings include more than $102 million in Bitcoin and wrapped Bitcoin at the time.
