US Government Transfers Tiny Batch of Seized Bitcoin Worth $377
The US government has made another small move in its ongoing efforts to manage seized Bitcoin assets. A tiny amount of about 0.0048 BTC, worth roughly $377, was transferred from Alameda Research accounts on Binance.US.
This transfer occurred around three years after the assets were initially seized. The recent movement follows larger transfers of seized assets related to Alameda and FTX earlier this year, aimed at recovering funds for creditors.
The transaction's purpose remains unclear, as no federal agency has confirmed whether it relates to creditor repayments or the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
