US Government's $25B Bitcoin Haul Sees Small Transfer
A small transfer of Bitcoin has occurred from an address linked to the US government. The amount transferred, approximately $377, is considered relatively small and could be for wallet management or a test operation.
The transfer was detected by blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence. The company's data shows that 0.0048 BTC were moved from wallets associated with the US government to another address.
It's worth noting that these Bitcoins were seized from Alameda Research accounts on Binance US approximately three years ago.
The total value of Bitcoin held by the US government is around $25.5 billion, according to Arkham data. This amount includes 324,552 BTC.
