US-Iran Ceasefire Fails to Boost Bitcoin as Retail Traders Remain Skeptical

Retail traders on Stocktwits expressed skepticism about the impact of a potential US-Iran ceasefire on oil markets, questioning whether it would have any material effect without progress tied to the Strait of Hormuz. The reported development led to a brief drop in Bitcoin's price below $73,000, but it recovered later in the session.

The CLARITY Act was also discussed on Stocktwits, with some bulls citing the lack of regulatory clarity as the key overhang on prices. However, retail sentiment around Bitcoin slipped into 'extremely bearish' territory, and some users forecasted that a move below $70,000 could lead to a deeper correction.

Crypto-linked equities, such as Robinhood Markets (HOOD), showed gains despite the mixed performance of Bitcoin. HOOD's stock climbed over 7% in afternoon trade, while Riot Platforms (RIOT) and Coinbase Global (COIN) rose around 3% each. The overall crypto market capitalization remained down near $2.53 trillion.
