US Military Strikes Iranian Air Defense and Naval Sites
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that it conducted strikes against Iranian air defense and naval sites in response to recent attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and a previous attack on US troops stationed in the region.
The strikes were carried out early Wednesday morning, according to CENTCOM. The US had warned Iran of further action if Tehran responded to the attacks.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the recent fighting 'only tightened the lock on the Strait of Hormuz.'
