US Risks Falling Behind G20 on Crypto Regulation, Coinbase CEO Warns
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has called on the US Senate to pass crypto legislation quickly, warning that the country risks falling behind other major economies in regulating digital assets.
In an August 21 post on X, Armstrong emphasized that most G20 countries have already established rules for crypto trading, leaving the US as a major outlier.
The CLARITY Act, which has passed the House but requires 60 votes to advance, aims to establish clear guidelines for digital assets and clarify the roles of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
