US Seizes $560,000 in Crypto Linked to Hamas Fundraising Network
The US Justice Department has seized over $560,000 in cryptocurrency linked to Hamas's fundraising operations. The action is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the group's ability to raise money through digital channels.
The FBI traced the cryptocurrency donations by following wallet addresses that had been changed to make it harder to track the transactions. Court documents show three seizure warrants were issued for transactions made in 2025.
In total, more than $1.5 million has moved through these wallets since late 2024, according to court records. The latest seizures follow an earlier action in March 2025, which saw authorities seize around $201,400 in cryptocurrency linked to Hamas.
