The US Senate has only two days to pass the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act before it goes on summer recess. The legislation, which aims to establish a comprehensive federal framework for digital asset markets in the United States, has been a priority for the crypto industry.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has expressed his intention to bring the bill to the floor before the chamber adjourns for its August break. However, with only two legislative days remaining, the clock is ticking, and the bill has yet to appear on the Senate's formal floor schedule.

The CLARITY Act would divide oversight responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), establish rules for decentralized finance platforms, clarify the treatment of tokenized securities, and introduce new consumer protection and anti-money laundering requirements.
