The US Senate is set to vote on September 15 on the CLARITY Act, a bill designed to provide clarity and regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and digital assets.

Passed by the House of Representatives with a 294-134 bipartisan majority on July 17, 2025, the bill aims to align US rules with existing global frameworks like the European Union's MiCA.

The CLARITY Act requires crypto firms to follow Bank Secrecy Act anti-money laundering rules and establishes statutory legal definitions, assigns explicit agency authority, and sets clear compliance obligations for industry participants.

According to Vikas M Sajdeva, CEO of BitDelta India, the core value of the CLARITY Act lies in removing operational ambiguity and reducing regulatory risk premium.
