US Senate Set to Vote on CLARITY Act as India Struggles with Crypto Regulation
The US Senate is set to hold a key vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15, which could bring comprehensive crypto regulations to the country. This comes as India struggles to keep up with its large digital asset user base of over 66 million citizens.
India's lack of clear crypto regulations puts it behind other major countries like the US, EU, Japan, and South Korea, which have established their own frameworks for digital assets. The US Senate's vote on the CLARITY Act is expected to be a significant step towards regulating the country's growing crypto market.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins expressed optimism that the bill will pass this month, stating, 'The Clarity Act will be voted on in the Senate on the 15th of September. I anticipate and hope that it will be passed by the Senate and sent ultimately to the President's desk for a signature.'
