US Treasury Debt Buybacks Spark Bullish Sentiment in Crypto Market
The crypto market is showing signs of bullish sentiment as investors look to the US Treasury's debt buyback operations, which could provide fuel for financial markets. Bitcoin has been holding near the $80,000 level after briefly surpassing it earlier in the day.
According to a research analyst at Delta Exchange, macro conditions remain a key risk for digital assets, but markets appear to be digesting August's strong gains rather than entering a broad-based risk-off phase. The US Treasury has announced that it will conduct liquidity support buybacks through early November with a combined maximum purchase of approximately $22.75 billion.
The buyback program does not involve printing new money, but rather buying existing bonds from the market to boost liquidity and enhance trading conditions in the Treasury market. This injection of liquidity is expected to boost risk assets, generating interest from crypto market participants.
XRP has been joining the bullish narrative, with an analyst predicting a breakout above $2.30 and a 54% advance from current levels. The token has rebounded from a support area around $0.99 and is currently trying to make that $1.45 mark its next level of support.
