US-UK Alliance Targets Global Crypto Scam Centers

Share

The US Department of Justice has announced a landmark memorandum of understanding between the US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, the Crown Prosecution Service of England and Wales, and the UK National Crime Agency.

This international cooperation agreement marks the first-of-its-kind collaboration to jointly combat crypto investment fraud and cyber-enabled scams.

The deal enables agencies to run parallel investigations into shared targets, exchange information on organized crime networks, and decide together which country should prosecute each case.

A joint in-person disruption event with private-sector partners is scheduled for London in early October, building on the Scam Center Strike Force launched by US Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro in November 2025.
