US XRP ETFs Outperform Token, Reaching 17% Daily Gains
XRP ETFs in the US have seen significant gains, outperforming the underlying XRP token. According to recent data, regulated spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed on major US exchanges reported increases of up to 17% during trading, while XRP itself recorded an upward move of approximately 8%. This divergence has been observed in the US market, where ETF prices have surged without new capital inflow.
Grayscale's XXRP surge was particularly notable, reaching 17.10%, followed by XRPT at 16.78% and UXRP at 17.01%. These gains are roughly double that of the token itself. Analysts attribute this difference to temporary imbalances in supply and demand within less liquid ETF products.
Despite the premiums in ETF shares, SoSoValue data showed no significant inflow of fresh capital during the rally. Instead, the sector ended the previous session with net outflows totaling $7.20 million, largely from profit-taking within the Bitwise fund. This indicates that recent price action in ETF shares has been driven primarily by active repositioning among existing investors rather than new investments entering the market.
