USDC Stablecoin Drives Circle Revenue Growth Amid Market Volatility
Circle's quarterly revenue has increased due to rising demand for its USDC stablecoin, the world's second-largest dollar-backed stablecoin. The heightened market volatility following renewed Middle East tensions led investors to shift funds from riskier crypto assets into stablecoins like USDC. As a result, Circle's revenue and reserve income rose 7% to $701.3 million in the quarter ended June 30.
The adoption of USDC has accelerated beyond just cryptocurrency trading, with businesses and institutions increasingly using it as a store of value. The increased stability of the stablecoin is attracting more investors who seek safer alternatives during periods of market uncertainty.
