USDC Stablecoin Growth Surges $584M in One Week
The USDC stablecoin market cap surged by $584 million in one week, driving most of the combined $1 billion increase across three tokens. The growth is largely attributed to Circle's infrastructure and regulatory compliance, which continues to attract institutional users.
$USDC holds a significant share of around 24% of the total stablecoin supply, valued between $74 billion to $77 billion. Tether's USDT still dominates with about 60% market share, but USDC leads in adjusted on-chain transaction volume during multiple periods throughout this year.
The steady growth is not a one-time spike; it is consistent and repeatable minting demand, according to analysts tracking the pattern. The recent $584 million gain is smaller compared to August's $1.5 billion jump but illustrates the stablecoin market expansion driven by USDC's infrastructure.
