USDT Adoption Rises in Developing Economies Amid Currency Weakness
Tether's USDT stablecoin is gaining traction in developing economies, according to CEO Paolo Ardoino.
Ardoino stated that demand for USDT is increasing in Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, and Turkey due to weakening local currencies, dollar shortages, and limited access to financial services.
In these countries, USDT is being used not only for cryptocurrency trading but also as a digital dollar and store of value.
The use of USDT in the real economy is expanding, with applications ranging from import and export settlements to commercial transactions and peer-to-peer trading.
