$USDT Freeze Hits Xinbi Guarantee and Third-Party Addresses

Tether, the issuer of the widely used $USDT stablecoin, has frozen over $45 million in USDT linked to Xinbi Guarantee, a Chinese-language guarantee and escrow marketplace operating through Telegram. According to blockchain analytics firm Bitrace, this freeze affects funds across multiple addresses associated with Xinbi Guarantee.

The reported action comes amid increased scrutiny of crypto-based services, particularly the use of $USDT in alleged illicit financial activity. In March 2026, the United Kingdom sanctioned Xinbi Guarantee under its Global Human Rights sanctions regime for links to scam compounds.

Bitrace has advised centralized exchanges, OTC trading desks, and other virtual asset service providers to review user addresses for any connections to Guarantee Merchant wallets. This includes a Public Group Merchant address labeled “亨通集团全国拿现”, which has reportedly processed more than $72 million in illicit funds over the previous year.
