USDT Gains Privacy on Zama with Record Shielded Volume
Tether's USDT stablecoin has gained privacy features on the Zama platform. cUSDT, which uses fully homomorphic encryption to hide transaction amounts and balances, was launched in January 2026 and has reached a cumulative shielded volume of $131.3 million and a total value locked of $7.7 million.
This development is significant for institutions seeking to protect their financial details from competitors and front-running. Zama's approach of wrapping regulated stablecoins supports compliance while enabling confidential DeFi transactions.
The growth of cUSDT on Zama is expected to continue through integrations like Morpho vaults and the $ZAMA token ecosystem. Tether's USDT is currently trading at Rp17.690 with a slight 0.20% gain on Pluang, showing steady investor interest in the stablecoin.
