Crypto adoption in India has been growing rapidly, with participation spreading beyond traditional financial hubs. A recent report by CoinSwitch highlights regional trends across different states and reflects the diversity of India's investor base.

According to the report, Uttar Pradesh remained India's largest crypto market during Q2 2026, accounting for 12.9% of total investment. Maharashtra and Karnataka followed closely, with 12.39% and 8.1% respectively.

Delhi accounted for 7.38%, while Haryana had a significant presence at 5.89%. Rajasthan and West Bengal also featured prominently in the report, each accounting for around 5% of total investment.

Andhra Pradesh stood out as an exception, with women contributing 59.3% of total investment, making it the only state among the top ten where female participation exceeded that of men. Interestingly, Dogecoin was the most preferred crypto in Andhra Pradesh, illustrating local investment preferences can differ while remaining anchored around widely recognized digital assets.
