Uzbekistan Launches Regulated Crypto Mining Zone Across Karakalpakstan

Uzbekistan has established a special crypto mining zone called Beshkala Mining Valley in Karakalpakstan, which offers tax incentives and expanded power options to licensed miners.

The zone's regulatory framework allows operators to use grid power, renewable energy sources like solar power, and hydrogen-based generation.

Crypto mining companies must keep sale proceeds in Uzbek banks and operate under state licensing rules, with a monthly fee equal to 1% of mining income paid to the zone's directorate.
