VALORANT Champions 2026 Set to Kick Off in Shanghai with Record Prize Pool

VALORANT Champions 2026 is set to take place from September 24th to October 18th, 2026, in Shanghai, China. The tournament marks the culmination of the VALORANT Champions Tour and will feature 16 teams competing for a share of the $2.25 million prize pool.

The teams will be divided into four GSL-style groups of four, with all matches played as best-of-three series. The top two teams from each group will advance to the double-elimination playoffs, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated.

Paper Rex and EDward Gaming are among the confirmed teams, having secured their spots through Championship Points. However, the Path to Champions system has been overhauled, allowing top Challenger teams to enter their respective Stage 2 competitions and fight established International League organizations for a spot in Shanghai.
