Valour STOXX ETP Faces Compulsory Redemption Deadline
The Valour STOXX Bitcoin Suisse Digital Asset Blue Chip ETP is set for compulsory redemption on September 15, 2026, affecting holders with a deadline of September 1, 2026, to opt out and choose physical delivery instead of cash settlement. The instrument, which trades on Xetra and has been available as a savings plan in Germany since June 2024, is fully physically backed by crypto assets deposited in custody with licensed custodians.
The compulsory redemption notice was issued on August 11, 2026, and sets out four key dates: September 1, 2026, for the last day to submit a redemption notice specifying physical delivery; September 11, 2026, as the last trading day; September 15, 2026, for the compulsory redemption date itself; and September 16, 2026, as the settlement day.
For retail account holders, the physical delivery route is usually not feasible due to the requirement of an acceptable delivery, which involves a receiving address and corresponding settlement capability. The default case is cash settlement under Condition 10.8, where units are called in on the cut-off date and a cash amount lands in the securities account.
