Van de Poppe Sees $73,700 Bitcoin Breakout as Price Presses Upper Bollinger Band
Bitcoin is poised to break through the $65,800 weekly hurdle and potentially reach $73,700 according to Michaël van de Poppe. Van de Poppe notes that identical MACD structures across multiple altcoins are already breaking higher, along with strong bullish divergences on the 3-day and weekly RSI mirroring the 2022 bottom.
The current price of Bitcoin is $65,137.07, which is above both the EMA50 at $64,509.61 and the EMA200 at $63,753.17, keeping the broader 4-hour trend bullish even as the MACD registers a death cross at 223.62.
The market is also pressing the upper Bollinger Band at $65,453.54 and RSI(14) is at a neutral 60.61, indicating that the next decisive move higher should exhaust short-side liquidity once $65,800 flips to support, opening the path to the $82,900 50-week MA zone.
