VanEck Bitcoin ETF Exceeds Asset Threshold, Avoids Sponsor Fee
The VanEck Bitcoin ETF (HODL) has concluded its zero-sponsor-fee period, which ended on July 31. At this point, the fund's net assets stood at $1.076 billion, representing 43% of the $2.5 billion asset threshold.
This means that HODL fell short of the target by approximately $1.424 billion. However, as a result, VanEck was able to waive the sponsor fee on the first $2.5 billion of trust assets until July 31.
Now that the waiver has expired, a 0.20% sponsor fee will be applied to all trust assets. At the current asset level, this would amount to around $2.15 million annually if assets remain unchanged.
