VanEck Lists XRP Ledger as Contender in $45B Corporate Blockchain Opportunity
VanEck's recent report highlights the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as a contender in three financial sectors, representing a combined $45 billion in annual revenue opportunities by 2030.
The sectors identified are cross-border payments, settlement, and securitization. In cross-border payments, VanEck estimates that this market could generate $20 billion in annual revenue, with the XRP Ledger listed alongside other institutional blockchain networks such as JPMorgan's Kinexys and Fnality.
In collateral and settlement, VanEck places XRPL alongside Canton and Kinexys. The firm estimates this area could generate $10 billion in annual revenue by 2030.
The XRP Ledger is also mentioned in the securitization market, where it appears alongside Provenance, represented by FIGR, and Canton. VanEck estimates that this market could generate $15 billion in annual revenue, based on a projected $3 trillion-$4 trillion securitization market.
Notably, VanEck's report does not suggest that the XRP Ledger will capture these revenues directly. Rather, it represents the estimated size of the markets in which XRPL is identified as a corporate or permissioned-chain contender.
