VanEck Payouts Revive Avalanche Hopes as AlphaPepe Seeks Upside
VanEck's Avalanche staking payouts have revived hopes for a price recovery in the token, which has been trading at around $6.60 - a far cry from its all-time high.
The payments are made quarterly to holders of VanEck's Avalanche ETF, which stakes most of its AVAX and distributes the rewards as cash.
While this is income on an asset still far below its highs, it's a rare benefit in crypto - particularly for a regulated, institutionally-custodied product backed by an institution like VanEck.
However, experts caution that staking payouts alone do not guarantee a price increase and may even weigh on the token's value if the trust needs to sell AVAX to fund distributions.
In contrast, AlphaPepe is building a trust-first watchlist candidate that offers no yield but a shot at significant upside - with a 41x potential return from its current price of $0.02452 in Stage 19.
AlphaPepe's presale has raised over $2.2 million and features an audit from Coinsult, reducing the risk of fraud, but also notes that even with this added trust signal, investing in a presale remains high-risk.
