Vanishing Bitcoin Payments at El Salvador's Bitcoin Beach Alarm Developers

Bitcoin Core developer, Steve Lee, has sounded an alarm about a peculiar issue at Bitcoin Beach, a small coastal town in El Salvador. According to Lee, bitcoin payments seem to vanish into thin air when made using BTC as a means of exchange.

The problem appears to be a result of the way El Salvador's government and local businesses have implemented the use of bitcoin as legal tender. While the intention is to boost economic activity and increase financial inclusion, it seems that there are technical issues at play.

Lee, who has been vocal about his concerns regarding the implementation of bitcoin in El Salvador, warned that this issue could potentially undermine the trustworthiness of BTC as a means of payment.
