VeChain Enters Interstellar Phase with EVM-Compatible Upgrade Proposal
VeChain has announced its Interstellar phase, marking the next stage of its Renaissance roadmap. Following the completion of EVM base upgrades on Galactica and consensus/ token economic transformation on Hayabusa, VeChain aims to deepen its compatibility with Ethereum's ecosystem through EVM.
The first upgrade proposal, VIP-255, introduces improved execution layer enhancements compatible with various Ethereum versions, including Cancun, Prague, and Osaka. These improvements include transient storage, MCOPY instructions, BLS12-381, and secp256r1 cryptographic support.
Validation of the proposal will take place on VeVote from August 10th to August 17th at 00:00 UTC. Validators and StarGate NFT holders meeting specific conditions are eligible to participate. The upgrade does not affect VET or VTHO token economics, and general holders do not need to take action.
