VeChain Price Soars 12% as VET Breaks Downtrend, $0.01 in Sight
VeChain's price has made one of its strongest moves this year, surging over 12% to around $0.00655 after breaking above a descending trendline that had defined its 2026 downtrend.
The token had been stuck in a compressed trading range between $0.0050 and $0.0055 for months, with repeated attempts at recovery being absorbed by sellers.
However, the recent price action has shifted focus from short-term recovery to whether VeChain can sustain a broader trend reversal.
The surge in derivatives activity is reinforcing the rally, rather than just a spot-led spike. $VET's 24-hour futures volume has climbed 196.52% to $55.48 million, while open interest has risen 28.53% to $37.60 million.
VeChain's upgrade roadmap is also providing a fundamental backdrop for the price breakout. The proposed VIP-255 upgrade aims to improve Ethereum compatibility through its Interstellar phase and expand developer tooling and compatibility with EVM-based applications.
