VeChain VIP-255 Upgrade Set for September Mainnet Launch Amid Market Rally

VET surged 23.53% as trading volume jumped nearly 278% amid upgrade news, with market capitalization reaching approximately $599 million. The VIP-255 upgrade includes several key changes, such as EIP-1153, which introduces transient storage for smart contracts at a cost of 100 gas.

Other notable additions include EIP-5656, which introduces the MCOPY instruction for more efficient memory data copying, and EIP-2537, which adds native BLS12-381 support for cryptographic precompiles. These changes are expected to improve network performance and security.
