Velaura AI Raises $110M After Rebranding and Bitcoin Miner Pivot
Semiconductor startup Velaura AI has secured $110 million in fresh financing at a valuation of over $1 billion. The capital injection comes after the company rebranded from Auradine and shifted its focus from bitcoin miners to energy-efficient chips for data centers, robotics, and other AI systems.
The Series A round was led by Seligman Ventures, with new investor Capricorn Investment Group joining existing backers Mayfield, Maverick Silicon, MARA Holdings, Premji Invest, Samsung Catalyst Fund, and StepStone Group. Velaura plans to use the funds to develop and commercialize its AI-computing portfolio, including its Titan Core silicon-design platform.
The company didn't disclose revenue or the identities of the hyperscalers it's working with. The rebranding from Auradine marks a significant change in strategy for Velaura, which previously raised over $300 million through multiple funding rounds.
