Velaura Secures $110M, Shifts Focus from Bitcoin Mining to AI Chips
Velaura AI has secured $110 million in fresh financing at a valuation of over $1 billion, marking a significant shift for the semiconductor startup. Previously known as Auradine, Velaura is pivoting its focus from Teraflux bitcoin miners to energy-efficient chips for data centers, robotics, and other AI systems.
The Series A round was led by Seligman Ventures, with new investor Capricorn Investment Group joining existing backers Mayfield, Maverick Silicon, MARA Holdings, Premji Invest, Samsung Catalyst Fund, and StepStone Group. The company plans to use the proceeds to develop and commercialize its AI-computing portfolio, including its Titan Core silicon-design platform.
Velaura's rebrand and strategic pivot come after a series of financings, including an $81 million Series A in 2023, an $80 million Series B in 2024, and a $153 million Series C in April 2025. The company has now announced at least $424 million of financing.
