$VELO Price Plunges as Velodrome Merges with Aerodrome Ahead of Aero Launch
Velodrome, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has announced its merger with Aerodrome in preparation for the upcoming launch of Aero. As part of this transition, Velodrome's social media and community channels will be consolidated under the Aero umbrella.
The @VelodromeFi X account will become less active starting September 10th, with news, updates, and announcements primarily shared via the @aeroxyz account. On the same day, the Velodrome Discord server will be downsized to only essential channels, with community activities redirected to the Aero Discord server.
The $VELO token is expected to be impacted by this transition, with trading on Binance planned to end this week as part of the Aero preparations. However, a public audit competition for Aero is scheduled to conclude on September 21st.
