Venezuela Oil Deal Puts U.S. at Center of Future Crude Supply with $100 Billion Investment
The White House has announced a major deal to develop Venezuela's oil reserves. North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) has received concessions to develop 17 Venezuelan oil fields holding about 65 billion barrels of proven reserves over a 100-year period.
NABEP plans to invest up to $100 billion in new infrastructure as it expands production, according to the White House. This investment is expected to boost production and increase global supply.
The deal puts the U.S. at the center of future crude supply, with priority access for American companies. The increased oil supply could put downward pressure on prices and impact commodity-backed crypto tokens and tokenization fundraising on CEXs and DEXs.
