Vietnam Chip Plant Spins Up as Accenture Agrees to Diversity Probe Settlement
Vietnamese conglomerate Geleximco plans to build a semiconductor plant in Hung Yen province, northern Vietnam. The construction is expected to begin in November 2026, with commercial products targeted for early 2028.
The plant will focus on testing and integrating Vietnamese-designed control ICs, sensors, and power chips into electric vehicles and Geleximco's wider industrial ecosystem.
Saudi Arabian construction-tech startup BRKZ raised $31 million in fresh funding from Aramco's investment arm Wa'ed Ventures. The round includes $13 million in Series B equity and $18 million in growth debt from Stride Ventures.
American consulting firm Accenture agreed to pay $25 million to settle allegations from the US government over its diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. The company denied discrimination and said the agreement did not constitute an admission of liability.
