Vietnam's Crypto Activity to Hit $8.1 Billion by 2025
According to Chainalysis, Vietnam's taxable crypto activity is projected to reach $8.1 billion in 2025, accounting for 9.01% of the government's total revenue. This makes Vietnam sixth among countries with the highest proportion of cryptocurrency activity relative to national budget.
The largest share of this activity comes from payments made via cryptocurrency, which represent 64% of the taxable total. Profits and income account for 22% and 14%, respectively. On a global scale, the United States leads with $112.6 billion in taxable crypto activity, followed by Germany, China, the UK, and India.
It's essential to note that these figures refer to the total value of activities subject to tax obligations, not actual tax revenue collected. Chainalysis' analysis is based on IMF data on Vietnam's projected revenue for 2025, which stands at $89.9 billion.
