Vinassa's Tech Investment Approach: Convergence of AI and Cybersecurity

Alessio Vinassa, an entrepreneur and angel investor, has developed a technology investment approach that focuses on the convergence of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. This framework is shaped by his own experience with financial challenges.

In the past, Vinassa faced a financial collapse where he had €180,000 due but only about €2,200 remained in his bank account. This situation left him facing bankruptcy and forced him to reevaluate how he understood risk. The experience not only changed his approach to business, but also influenced how he would later evaluate businesses and support founders.

Vinassa has over 15 years of operating and investment experience, having backed more than 40 ventures across cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Web3, and innovative finance. He views innovation as a necessary component of growth, but emphasizes the importance of discipline in managing risk.

'AI should amplify executive judgment, not replace it,' Vinassa says. This approach recognizes that technology can increase speed and capability, but leaders remain responsible for determining how that capability should be used and where human oversight is required.
