Visa Taps Dunamu for Stablecoin Payments and AI-Powered Commerce Push
Visa and South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit's parent company Dunamu have partnered to explore stablecoin payments, cross-border remittances, and AI-powered commerce. The partnership aims to merge Dunamu's digital asset technology with Visa's payments infrastructure.
The companies are examining how stablecoins and AI can work together to reshape the way money moves across borders. Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of Dunamu, described the partnership as a way to bridge digital assets and traditional financial systems.
The companies are also evaluating Open USD (OUSD), a dollar-backed stablecoin introduced by Open Standard in June 2026. However, no specific stablecoin has been selected for the partnership.
