Visser Dismisses Warsh's Hawkish Comments as 'Showmanship' Favoring Bessent's Yield Suppression Playbook
Jordi Visser, a Wall Street veteran and financial expert, has dismissed Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish comments at Jackson Hole as 'showmanship' aimed at maintaining credibility. According to Visser, Warsh's speech did not signal any changes in monetary policy, particularly a rate hike in September.
The actual policy driver behind the Fed's actions is Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's yield suppression campaign, Visser said. He linked this playbook directly to crypto, stating that stablecoins would need to grow to $3 trillion to be major Treasury buyers and alleviate liquidity issues.
Visser also discussed his own investment portfolio, revealing that he now holds more Ethereum (ETH) than ever before due to its potential in tokenization and stablecoin rails. He cited Solana's (SOL) performance as evidence of a fundamental-driven crypto rally rather than speculation.
