Visser Groups Bitcoin with SpaceX and OpenAI as Undervalued Assets
Financial analyst Jordi Visser has grouped Bitcoin (BTC) with SpaceX (SPCX), Anthropic (ANTHZZX), and OpenAI (OPEAZZX) as future-defining assets that do not rely on profits. According to Visser, these four assets are worth around $5.3 trillion combined, despite his initial estimate of $8 trillion.
Visser based his argument on the idea that value is shifting away from earnings and towards 'trust and velocity'. He noted that AI-driven hacking risk is compressing terminal value for companies dependent on continuity. This shift in value is evident in the market capitalization of these assets, which Visser believes are undervalued.
Visser specifically highlighted OpenAI as the most undervalued asset among the group, stating that investors were 'probably missing the boat' after Astra's private financing. He also used OpenAI's model to build a trading indicator model on Labor Day.
The comments from Visser come ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate decision, with markets priced in about a 70% chance of a quarter-point hike. Visser expressed that he does not expect Chair Kevin Walsh to hike, but a dovish hike would be better for equities than a hold.
