Visser Sees Bitcoin Thriving in an AI-Driven Economy
Macro investor Jordi Visser believes Bitcoin (BTC) is poised to thrive in an economy driven by AI, citing its unique ability to create scarcity in a world where abundance is created by artificial intelligence. Visser argues that as AI accelerates economic growth and disrupts traditional businesses, investors need assets that cannot be replicated or inflated away.
BTC fills this role, much like gold did in the physical economy. According to Visser, Bitcoin's value is directly tied to the pace of AI disruption rather than being separate from it. He forecasts a long-term framework where the digital asset market reaches at least $100 trillion, with Bitcoin holding at least 33% of that market.
Visser has never sold his BTC and has no intention of doing so. In fact, he views Ethereum (ETH) as a potential outperformer in the short term due to its tokenization and stablecoin boom. He expects ETH to outperform BTC over the next year, citing its status as a commodity tied to blockchain compute demand.
