Visser Warns Against Bet Against Treasury Intervention, Favors Bitcoin Over Equities
Veteran macro investor Jordi Visser has warned against betting against government intervention in markets to contain Treasury yields, calling it 'a very dangerous game.'
Visser stated that governments are increasingly willing to intervene in markets to keep borrowing costs in check. He noted that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's decision to double long-end buyback capacity is a sign of this trend.
According to Visser, AI-driven competition is intensifying and making traditional growth and valuation models less trustworthy. He believes that Bitcoin could become the leading store of value in the digital economy, calling it 'the S&P 500 of the crypto world.'
Visser also expressed a bullish view on Ethereum, predicting that the overall crypto ecosystem may eventually overtake Bitcoin. He noted that the investment thesis for Ethereum is focused on the applications and ecosystem being built around it.
