Volksbank meinKrypto Brings Crypto Trading to German Banks by Q4 2026
German cooperative banks are set to introduce cryptocurrency trading through their Volksbank meinKrypto platform. By Q4 2026, hundreds of cooperative banks nationwide will have activated meinKrypto, allowing retail customers to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Cardano (ADA) directly within the VR Banking App.
Litecoin is among the first four tradable assets on meinKrypto, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano. This integration provides a regulated one-click access to these cryptocurrencies for German retail customers through their existing banking app.
The rollout of meinKrypto is expected to create a new retail demand channel within an established banking app, rather than relying on separate crypto exchanges. As more banks activate the platform nationwide, investors can expect increased trading activity and broader market participation.
