Wall Street Buys Privacy as Centralized Exchanges Delist
Wall Street is increasingly embracing privacy-focused cryptocurrencies, even as their direct access to these assets becomes more restricted. Grayscale's Zcash ETF (ZCSH) now trades on NYSE Arca, offering US investors a way to gain exposure to the asset without holding it directly.
However, centralized exchanges are reducing support for Monero and other privacy coins due to growing regulatory pressure. Binance, OKX, and Kraken have all limited access to Monero amid concerns over anti-money-laundering regulations.
THORChain's v3.20 upgrade aims to bridge the gap between these two markets, allowing users to move between native XMR or ZEC and supported crypto assets without using a centralized exchange. The protocol has already tested native Monero swaps and plans to add Zcash support.
